Yes, presently, our weather this fall season has been without any early winter weather events as in years past. However, our weather can change quickly and we can be hit with snow, ice, rain and fog off Lake Erie without warning.

Starting Monday, Nov. 13, the Buffalo Zoo will be closed to the public every Monday through Thursday and open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only from 10 a.m. to 4 pm. These seasonal operating hours will last until March 28, 2024.

Peter Marston will be Grand Island's new supervisor. The current deputy supervisor won on the Conservative line, with 57.76% of the vote, against Republican Mike Madigan, who garnered 41.85%, in Tuesday's general election. Marston got 3,510 votes to Madigan's 2,543.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 24-year-old Kashmonay U. Holley and 23-year-old Nahzaire N. Murray, both of Rochester, pleaded guilty this morning before State Supreme Court Paul B. Wojtaszek to one count of grand larceny in the second degree (class "C" felony). Both defendants pleaded guilty to the highest sustainable charge.

The event, enjoyed by many participants, raised $360 - and attendees also donated nonperishable food to benefit the Neighbors Foundation.
