Niagara Amusement Park and Splash World is kicking off its new season Saturday (May 27) with a splash – literally – and a raft of new rides to add to the excitement.
The team at the amusement park said it’s ready to show off the “tremendous efforts to restore the magic to the Town of Grand Island.”
The park, at 2400 Grand Island Blvd., will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during Memorial Day weekend. The forecast is for warm, summer-like weather: 76 degrees on Saturday, 80 on Sunday and 83 on Monday.
After this coming weekend, the amusement park will be open on weekends from June 3-25. Then it’s open every day through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 4, and on weekends after that through the end of the season. Patrons need a daily admission ticket or season pass to enter the park. Once they have a ticket, mini golf will be free during the Memorial Day weekend only, to kick off the amusement park’s 2023 season.
“The weather is looking gorgeous, so it's the perfect opportunity to soak up the sun and show off your putting skills,” the park management said on its website.
There is a “range of exciting rides, live entertainment and attractions that are all set to go,” the park announced in a news release Friday. There is also a list of rides that will be making their debut throughout the summer.
