Driver fined after fatal crash in Wheatfield

Twenty-year-old Carly Marrs of North Tonawanda, whose vehicle struck and killed two teenagers last summer, was sentenced Feb. 8 to pay a $243 fine for imprudent speed. She was also convicted of unlawful possession of marijuana. However, she was found not guilty for reckless driving, a misdemeanor; and an unspecified violation.

NT among recipients of Restore NY grant

New York State Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo recently announced nearly $40 million will be awarded to 75 municipalities through Round 4 of the Restore New York Communities Initiative.
