Women United annual baby supply drive in progress

Women United of Greater Niagara's baby supply drive officially began March 1. Donations of baby bottles, bottle brushes, wipes, diapers, pacifiers, lotion, baby cereal, baby food, and new baby clothes can be dropped off at the United Way of Greater Niagara office, located at 6420 Inducon Drive West, Suite B2, until March 31.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced increased patrols by New York State Police and local law enforcement to combat alcohol and drug-impaired and reckless driving as celebrations for St. Patrick's Day get underway statewide. This traffic enforcement detail will run Friday, March 15, through Sunday, March 17. It is funded by the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee.

Maid of the Mist returns April 4

The iconic all-electric Maid of the Mist, which has been in continuous operation since 1885, sets sail on the 2024 season at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 4. Tours will depart every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends. The hours of operation will be extended throughout the summer.
