At approximately 10:50 p.m. Monday, the Niagara Falls Police Department responded to the 1700 block of Pine Avenue to check the welfare of a man sitting in a pickup truck. Upon arrival, officers located a 47-year-old male, sitting in the driver seat, unresponsive. Niagara Falls Fire Department and AMR responded to render aid, at which time it was determined that the victim had been shot. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
NFPD detectives are currently investigating the death as a homicide and are asking for the public’s assistance in providing any information. The shooting may have occurred as early as 10 p.m. in the 1700 block of Pine Avenue.
