Niagara County Community College was awarded nearly $39,000 from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) to aid in the stabilization of the child care sector. The college used this grant to expand the John R. Oishei Childhood Development Center on the Sanborn campus, making room for a space dedicated to caring for infants.

New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG) is responding after a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain impacted the region, causing power outages overnight into Thursday, Feb. 23. As of noon, approximately 14,800 customers in the Lancaster division, which includes Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie and Wyoming counties, were without power.

Netflix recently announced its first partnership with the "NFL: Quarterback," a new docuseries that will take a unique look at each season, told through the lens of NFL quarterbacks. This year, the series features exclusive, unprecedented access to Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota from the beginning of the 2022 season to its conclusion, following them on and off the field, from inside the huddle with teammates to inside their homes with their families.
