Republican New York State Sen. Chris Jacobs is claiming victory in the special election to fill the seat vacated by former Congressman Chris Collins. Late Tuesday, Jacobs claimed to have an insurmountable lead over Democrat and former Town of Grand Island Supervisor Nate McMurray. Currently, his lead is more than 30,000 votes for the NY-27 seat.

Since the Governor has allowed groups of 25 to assemble, there still needs to be social distancing. While dining outside is enjoyable, the rules still need to be followed. Dining inside is now allowed for 50% capacity.
