On a rainy Saturday morning, the Niagara Falls Air Base hosted a mass accident response exercise to prepare for any possible crash in the future. With the Thunder of Niagara Air Show set to take place on June 9 and 10, the setting of the simulation was for preparation in the event of an air show crash.

On Wednesday, KeyBank hosted its 28th annual Neighbors Make the Difference Day. More than 700 KeyBank employees in Buffalo and Western New York spent the day volunteering with more than two-dozen community organizations and service projects, including the William-Emslie YMCA in Buffalo, The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County in Dunkirk and Community Missions in Niagara Falls.

Multi-Platinum, four-time Grammy-nominated band Goo Goo Dolls on Thursday announced "The Audience is This Way," a 10-track live album recorded on the band's recent tours. "The Audience is This Way" is due for release on July 21 via Warner Bros. Records and will be physically available as an exclusive limited edition black vinyl at indie-retail stores nationally as part of Record Store Day Crawl. There are only 3,000 copies made of this pressing. The album will also be available for digital download and streaming on Aug. 24.

The Niagara Falls Wolverines baseball team rallied three times to tie up their quarterfinal playoff game versus Orchard Park, but in the end, it wasn't enough to get past the Quakers.
The Wolverines were defeated by the Quakers, 5-4, in nine innings in the Section VI Class AA quarterfinals.

Drivers that see a turtle on the road should use caution - not swerve suddenly or leave their lane of travel - and take care to avoid hitting turtles while driving.

When it comes to the postseason in high school sports, the motto everyone lives by is survive and advance. On Monday evening, the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons softball team did exactly that.
The No. 3 seeded Falcons defeated the No. 6 seeded Frontier Falcons, 2-1, in the quarterfinals of the Class AA Section VI playoffs.

The CW Network presented its 2018-19 primetime schedule to advertisers, affiliates, and press at the New York City Center in New York City, with the Platinum-selling American rock band 30 Seconds to Mars opening the show with a performance of their new hit songs "Rescue Me" and "Walk on Water." The Village of Lewiston Planning Commission on Monday voted unanimously to approve site plan changes at the Ellicott Development plaza site on Center, North Eighth and Onondaga streets. Specifically, members accepted a proposal to re-subdivide adjoining property located behind the building housing tenants including Vincenzo's Pizza House and Sue's Frame of Mind.
