On March 11, at approximately 5:26 p.m., a Niagara County Sheriff's deputy initiated a traffic stop on an uninspected motor vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle, the deputy discovered the vehicle to be operated by 50-year-old Jeffrey J. Fader. In the vehicle was a 14-year-old child.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, a suspicious package was found inside the human resources building at 301 10th St., Niagara Falls. Precautionary measures were taken, and all employees were evacuated from the building.

The National Comedy Center was formally designated Tuesday as the nation's official cultural institution dedicated to the art form of comedy. In a bipartisan show of support, both the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives passed this bill in February, and the president signed it into law this week, recognizing the Center as the "Official National Comedy Center of the United States."

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority has awarded Calspan Air Services, a subsidiary of Calspan Holdings, the contract to continue operating as the fixed base operator (FBO) for the Niagara Falls International Airport.
