On March 11, at approximately 5:26 p.m., a Niagara County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on an uninspected motor vehicle. Upon stopping the vehicle, the deputy discovered the vehicle to be operated by 50-year-old Jeffrey J. Fader. In the vehicle was a 14-year-old child.
After failing field sobriety tests, Fader was arrested and transported to NCSO where he consented to a chemical test of his breath for alcohol, which revealed a blood-alcohol content of .16 percent. Fader was charged with driving while intoxicated, felony driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law violation), endangering the welfare of a child and uninspected motor vehicle. Fader was remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.
