Hozier hits No. 1 on Billboard with 'Wasteland, Baby!'

Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Hozier released his sophomore album “Wasteland, Baby!,” which debuted at No. 1 on the album-chart and No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200. The 14-track LP is available globally and includes current singles “Movement” and “Almost (Sweet Music),” as well as “Dinner & Diatribes.”

His self-titled debut released in 2014 earned a No. 2 on the album-chart and the Billboard Top 200.

Hozier said, “I am so thrilled with ‘Wasteland, Baby!’ debuting as a Billboard No. 1. Thank you to my fans and listeners for their incredible support. This is handmade, homemade music, and I have to thank everyone who worked so hard to give it this opportunity and let it be heard. I'm so grateful and so thrilled.”

On Monday, he announced a new run of North American headline dates slated for this fall. The shows kick off Oct. 17 in Portland, Oregon, and see Hozier traversing the West Coast, including a performance at Los Angeles’ famed Greek Theatre on Oct. 25. These newly added dates precede Hozier’s five-night residency at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom in November.

Hozier began his “Wasteland, Baby!” Tour in Buffalo on Sunday night.
