CBS and the Recording Academy have confirmed the next slate of performers for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato previously announced on social media they will take the stage for Music's Biggest Night. In addition, current Grammy nominees Camilla Cabello; H.E.R.; Jonas Brothers; Rosalía; Tyler, The Creator; and 13-time nominee Charlie Wilson are set to perform.

Over the weekend, the seventh annual Greater Niagara Fishing and Outdoor Expo invaded downtown Niagara Falls. The event was held at the Conference and Event Center with a focus on "Teaching Fishing" to the legions of anglers that can be found in New York, Southern Ontario and other nearby states.

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson recently announced nearly $2.2 billion in grants to support thousands of local homeless assistance programs across the nation. HUD's "Continuum of Care" grants will provide critically needed support to approximately 6,593 local programs on the front lines, serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo recently announced the New York State Department of Public Service issued a report recommending the establishment of a statewide utility-supported "make-ready" program to promote responsible electric vehicle charging station deployment. In addition, the governor announced more than 20,000 rebates have been approved for New Yorkers to purchase electric cars under the Drive Clean Rebate initiative, which provides residents with a rebate of up to $2,000 for the purchase or lease of a new electric car from participating dealers.

The New York Power Authority announced a collaboration with a leading-edge energy storage company to develop a demonstration energy storage system, using new zinc-air energy storage technology, in New York. The project, selected as a winner through the NYPA Innovation Challenge, will have the ability to provide back-up power, help level grid demand, and move the state further toward a carbon-free electric grid supported by renewable energy resources.

Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced Friday that Christopher Collins, who represented the 27th District of New York as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, was sentenced to 26 months in prison today by U.S. District Judge Vernon S. Broderick for participating in a scheme to commit insider trading and for making false statements to federal law enforcement agents when interviewed about his conduct.
