Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 34-year-old Ryan J. Miller of West Seneca was sentenced this morning before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to a three-year conditional discharge. The defendant also paid restitution totaling $31,533.74.

Recently, St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilson presented local shut-ins, past church members who are no longer able to attend Mass, and low-income individuals, with a little good will and a sure sign of spring. Over 50 people were presented with hand-crocheted baskets, each containing blooming crocuses, along with chocolates donated by Park Side in Buffalo.

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 24-year-old Dequan Richardson of Cheektowaga pleaded guilty this morning before Erie County Court Judge Susan Eagan to one count of murder in the second degree (class "A" felony), one count of assault in the first degree (class "B" felony), two counts of assault in the second degree (class "D" felony), and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "C" felony). The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest charge in the indictment.
