Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced 32-year-old Dominique D. Thomas of Buffalo pleaded guilty this morning before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of menacing a police officer or peace officer (class "D" violent felony). Niagara County District Attorney Brian D. Seaman announced that Gilbert Cruz, age 35, of Niagara Falls, plead guilty this morning to the charge of murder in the second degree. Cruz admitted to murdering 57-year-old Timothy Weymer in Niagara Falls on Feb. 7, 2022.
