The Girl Scouts of Western New York (GSWNY) are preparing for a new year of fun, learning and adventure for its members – and part of the experience is to welcome new members, too.
A press release stated, “Make this a year of fun for your girl, and encourage her to become a Girl Scout. Learn more about the lifelong benefits of Girl Scouting at a free kick-off party. Join us Sunday, Aug. 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Camp Windy Meadows located at 5000 Cambria St., Lockport. The kick-off at Camp Windy Meadows will include archery, bracelet-making, tie-dye, fire trucks, and more. You will also have the opportunity to enter to win a free Girl Scout uniform if you RSVP!”
GSWNY is also interested in meeting adult volunteers who may be interested in leading a troop. For more information about GSWNY, visit www.gswny.org or call 888-837-6410.
