Explore & More – The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum welcomes author Charlemagne Jackson on Thursday, Aug. 10, for two sessions: 9:30-10:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to noon. Jackson, author of “How the Swans Family Bell Went Missing,” will host “The Porch Talk,” a series of two engaging, interactive storytimes for the public.
A press release stated, “The beautifully illustrated children's story chronicles a family heirloom, Joephone; a 100-year-old brass handbell; and is instantly captivating being told from a first person's point of view. Allow your imagination to follow along as she is passed along from one generation to another – and even went missing for a period of time. The moving story references many other family heirlooms, all of which will be on site for children to interact with.”
In addition to the interactive storytime and mini-museum, there will be a sing-along and the opportunity to ring the bell itself.
“The Porch Talk” with Jackson is free with admission to the museum. For more information click here.
