The body of Joseph Specyal, 50, was discovered by two hunters in a field off Ward Road in Wheatfield on Oct. 28, according to Niagara County Sheriff James R. Voutour.

On Oct. 2, Native American Independent Living Services presented its OAHIIO Haudenosaunee Championship Smoke Dance and Social at Buffalo State College, where they officially announced their agency's name change to "OAHIIO" (Oh-Wah-He-Oh), meaning "The Good Path."
