Up to three recipients will be chosen this year to receive awards of $1,500 each.

U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that Deandre Wilson, 51, of Buffalo, who was convicted by a federal jury of multiple charges for his role in a narcotics conspiracy, which resulted in a triple homicide, was sentenced to serve three consecutive life sentences plus 30 years by Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.

U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced today that Peter Hingston, 63, of Amherst, who was convicted of two counts of possession of child pornography, was sentenced to serve 168 months in prison and 15 years supervised release by Chief U.S. District Judge Elizabeth A. Wolford.

Construction of the new, 60,000-square-foot Lockport Memorial Hospital (LMH) is proceeding at a record pace as a result of Catholic Health's continued collaboration with the New York State Department of Health, local government officials, and its construction partners. Ground was broken in November 2021 for the $62 million facility - the largest investment in eastern Niagara County in recent years - which is expected to open in September 2023.
