Strong summer start: Lewiston Council on the Arts draws big crowds

During five fabulous performances in 10 days, over 2,000 people came out to hear the Lewiston Council on the Arts’ free outdoor concerts in Academy Park and the Hennepin Park Gazebo.

Families, friends and neighbors gathered to hear the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the 42nd Infantry Division Band, the “Summer of ’69” and the Maria Aurigema Band.

“What a great start to our summer season – and there is so much more to come!” Executive Director Maria Fortuna Dean said.
