Lewiston Dance recently held a ribbon and award ceremony for its dancers. Cars pulled through the parking lot and, with music playing, each dancer got out of the car in full costume. The teachers cheered them on as they made their way to the red carpet to receive their ribbons or awards and get their photo taken.

Registration is now open for William Mattar's annual "Pencils 4 Schools" program. Even though this year's program has a new look, the goal remains the same: to provide pencils for educators and their students. Earlier today, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced three additional states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., meet the metrics to qualify for the travel advisory requiring individuals who have traveled to New York from those areas, all of which have significant community spread, to quarantine for 14 days. The newly added states are Illinois, Kentucky and Minnesota. No states have been removed.
