During the week of Sept. 14, "Tamron Hall" launched its second season with double-digit week-to-week growth up a whopping 33% and delivering its strongest week since April in total viewers (1.216 million). The show also tied its highest-rated week since May among women 25-54 (0.4 rating). In addition, "Tamron Hall" matched a nine-week high in households (0.8 rating).

The New York State Department of State announced the start of construction for a $1.1 million redevelopment project in the City of Batavia. This project, awarded through Batavia's DRI Building Improvement Fund, will rehabilitate a three-story, 7,500 square-foot building built in 1865. Batavia's downtown area is a mixed-use, affordable neighborhood with access to jobs, anchor businesses, and city and county services.

Congressman Brian Higgins, D-NY-26, is calling for Congress to approve the Fairness to Kids with Cancer Act (H.R. 4429). The proposed legislation, which Higgins is cosponsoring, seeks to achieve parity between the share of federal funding for cancer research that is allocated to pediatric cancer research and the percentage of the U.S. population that is under the age of 18.
