The 16th season of free "Gift to the Community" concerts given by the Buffalo Chamber Music Society opens on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. in the Mary Seaton Room of Kleinhans Music Hall. 22-year-old Korean pianist Ji-Yong will perform works by Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Ravel and Beethoven. Niagara Catholic Jr./Sr. High School recently held its annual walk-a-thon, "Car Smash," after-walk picnic, and dodgeball games as a kick-off to Homecoming Week. Students in grades 7 through 12, along with faculty and staff, were able to enjoy a rally, followed by a seven-mile walk to raise funds for their school expenses.
