Lewiston Police Blotter for Oct. 19, 2013

The following activity occurred Sunday, Oct. 6, to Sunday, Oct. 13, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 107 response calls during this period.

Sunday, Oct. 6

•Lewiston Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 26, arrested for driving while intoxicated. Blood Alcohol Content testing performed; BAC result, .13 of 1 percent. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•4500 block of Townline Road, ATV problem. Patrol reported two male suspects, both age 17, and two females, no ages, listed as persons involved on call. One male fled the scene. Second male was arrested on obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest and underage possession of alcohol. Suspect remanded to custody of NCSO/Niagara County Jail on bail of $500. Investigation to continue.

•Niagara University campus, check welfare. LPD assisted State Police on transport of a male to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for an evaluation.

•4300 block of Autumn Lane, check welfare/domestic. Both parties interviewed; all OK. Report filed.

•5800 block of West Street, domestic. Female, 25, and male, 55, listed on call. Report filed.

•Indian Hill Road, reckless driver. Patrol reported charging an unidentified motorist on being an unlicensed driver. Uniform traffic ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court.

•NU campus, criminal mischief to a vehicle. Patrol spoke with complainant; all OK.

•400 block of Riverview Drive, domestic. LPD on location with State Police on a physical domestic.

•7900 block of Cherry Lane, follow-up. Statement taken on an earlier larceny at Niagara-Wheatfield High School. Investigation to continue.

Monday, Oct. 7

•1000 block of Escarpment Drive, larceny from a vehicle. Statement taken from a male, 43. Report filed.

•400 block of Mountain View Drive, house check/open door. Homeowner notified.

•Locations at Saunders Settlement and Walmore roads, and Saunders Settlement and Kline roads, separate two-vehicle accidents. Statements taken from all drivers. Second call involved an injury accident. Reports filed.

•Niagara University campus, mental health response. Patrol assisted Crisis Services. Female taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•4000 block of Creek Road, follow-up. Patrol reported the arrest of a male, no age listed, on a charge of aggravated harassment, second, from an earlier incident. Report filed.

•4300 block of Autumn Lane, animal problem. Male, 54, reported being chased by a pit bull.

Tuesday, Oct. 8

•5800 block of West Street, check welfare. Patrol interviewed all parties; all OK.

•LPD office, walk-in fraud complaint. Unidentified subject reported a credit card was used overseas.

•700 block of The Circle Drive, follow-up. Patrol reported follow-up interview of a male, resulting in arrest for possession of a controlled substance, seventh, from an earlier incident. LPD K-9 search performed. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court.

•Swann and Model City roads, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a male, 28, for driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and felony DWI charges due to previous DWI and DWAI convictions. Blood Alcohol Content testing performed; BAC result, .23 of 1 percent. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets per Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed with 12-hour hold placed. Report filed.

•1600 block of Mount Hope Road, area check. Caller reported individuals tampering with wires and electricity being turned on and off. Patrol reported negative results.

•Cayuga and South Seventh streets, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the arrests of a male and female, both 18, for unlawful possession of marijuana. LPD K-9 search performed. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

•800 block of Madison Avenue, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported teens smoking cigarettes before school.

•4000 block of Creek Road, Lewiston-Porter High School, arrest. Female, 16, arrested for criminal possession of marijuana, fifth. Suspect released on an appearance ticket for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•2800 block of Lower Mountain Road, fraud. Female, 24, reported an unknown suspect using her credit card. Report filed.

•900 block of Center Street, suspicious male. Patrol reported a male was returning a firearm to a friend at the address. All OK.

•700 block of Cayuga Street, harassment complaint. Statement taken from a male, 22, regarding a male suspect, 22. Report filed.

•Saunders Settlement Road, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a female, 18, found smoking marijuana with a 2-year-old female child in the vehicle, unrestrained. Female arrested on the following: felony Leandra's Law violation; DWI-drugs; endangering the welfare of a child; unlawful possession of marijuana; and numerous other vehicle and traffic charges. Patrol reported .7 grams of marijuana were seized and Child Protective Services contacted. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court and suspect remanded to custody of NCSO/Niagara County jail. •2200 block of Mount Hope Road, criminal mischief. Call handled by patrol.

•4900 block of Creek Road, criminal mischief. Female, 43, listed as complainant and two females, ages 23 and 20, listed as suspects. Report filed.

Thursday, Oct. 10

•300 block of Oneida Street, criminal mischief. Female, 53, reported her Jeep Wrangler was damaged. Report filed.

•900 block of Ridge Road, fraud complaint. Statement taken from a female; suspect unknown.

•1700 block of Swann Road, UUMV/criminal trespass complaint. Statement taken from a male, 68. Investigation to continue.

•800 block of Hillside Drive, citizen assist. Complainant, unidentified, reports receiving text messages that seemed odd. Patrol spoke with the subject who thought messages were being sent to a friend.

•300 block of South Second Street, check welfare. Female complainant allowed female involved to remain at residence. All OK. Report filed.

•1500 block of Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, assist. LPD on location with New York State Parole.

Friday, Oct. 11

•5300 block of Chew Road, check welfare. Male reported as intoxicated and fighting with family. Call handled by patrol and arrangements made. Second call, male left without incident.

•4700 block of East Eddy Drive, fraud complaint, two responses. Statements taken from a male, 73. First call involved a debit card used by a female suspect. Second call involved three checks stolen; one used by a suspect, unknown. Reports filed.

•Addresses on the 1700 block and the 1600 block of Saunders Settlement Road, suspicious person. First call, suspect, unidentified, approached a female in the yard asking for money. Second call, resident reported a white male, with blood around the lips asking for money. Both suspects GOA.

•4500 block of Washington Drive, fight. Caller reported a neighbor was yelling for help. Person involved denied a problem.

•4100 block of Old Ransomville Road, fraud. Female complainant, elderly, reports being solicited on a possible insurance scam. Personal information given out. Suspect unknown. Patrol to follow up.

Saturday, Oct. 12

•900 block of Center Street, one vehicle property damage accident. Statements taken from driver and property owner. Report filed.

•1700 block of Swann Road, criminal mischief. Male, 60, listed as complainant and male, 24, listed as victim. Suspect unknown. Report filed.

•2200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, counterfeit currency. Male, 70, and female, 27, listed as persons involved. Report filed.

Sunday, Oct. 13

•1100 block of Jarrett Drive, larceny. Complainant reports a female had items taken while at a dance at Lewiston-Porter High School. Patrol to follow up.

•Lewiston Road, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Patrol reported the arrest of a female, 20, for driving while intoxicated. Breath testing request refused. Driver released on uniform traffic tickets to Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed. Report filed.

•2200 block of Upper Mountain Road, check welfare. Patrol reported domestic partners arguing over money. Female removed to a sister's house for the night.

•4400 block of Creek Road, larceny from a vehicle. Statement taken and report filed.

•Bond Lake Park, suspicious vehicle-arrest. Patrol reported the arrests of two males, 19, for unlawful possession of marijuana. Both suspects released on appearance tickets to Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•2300 block of Lower Mountain Road, check welfare. Patrol to follow up on a possible case of abuse.
