YMCA Buffalo Niagara has announced the 118th running of the YMCA "Turkey Trot" is officially sold out. Race capacity was again set at 14,000 participants in order to adhere to fire code regulations inside the Buffalo Convention Center, where the race's post-party and awards ceremony takes place.

Saturday, Oct. 26, was the last run of the Marble Orchard Ghost Walk until next fall. The Lewiston Ghost Walk, also known as The Marble Orchard Ghost Walk, is put on every year by The Lewiston Council on the Arts. The walk ran every Saturday night in September and October this fall thanks to a volunteer cast, whose members, of course, dress in character as townspeople from the 1800s.

The Buffalo Sabres today announced that enhanced security procedures have been put in place at First Niagara Center. Beginning with Tuesday's home game against the Los Angeles Kings, all Sabres fans entering the arena will be subject to a handheld magnetometer (wand) screening upon entry to the arena.
