Gov. Kathy Hochul announced all New Yorkers enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will receive the maximum allowable level of food benefits for August. All households participating in SNAP - including those already at the maximum level of benefits - will receive a supplemental allotment this month, resulting in a roughly $234 million infusion of federal funding into the New York state economy.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities has entered into a $10 million partnership with the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals to expand opportunities for professional credentialing for direct support professionals in the developmental disabilities field throughout the state. Her team said the three-year agreement will help professionalize the direct support professional workforce and address worker shortages.

They were a young couple in the early 1970s, and Dori had suggested the trip, explaining that it would be a good time to do it " 'Because we're free; because we've got no careers. We have no kids, no debts. We will never be this free again for the rest of our lives. Gov. Kathy Hochul on Friday signed a legislative package to enhance street safety, prevent traffic-related fatalities, and crack down on hit-and-run incidents. Two new laws will allow municipalities to reduce speed limits to 25 miles per hour, and increase fines for leaving car crash scenes without reporting them.
