Prior to Christmas, DiMino Tops Lewiston partnered with Niagara Frontier Publications to sponsor the annual holiday coloring contest. The supermarket displayed each child entrant's work in the foyer and then donated gifts to the winning posters.

Mountains of pillows and a roomful of toiletries greeted Passage House Domestic Violence Services staff when they arrived at the City of Niagara Falls Department of Public Works on Monday afternoon. For the past six weeks, United Steelworkers Local No. 9434 and Women of Steel have collected shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, body wash, combs, pillows and sheets for the Family & Children's Service of Niagara program. Most items were purchased and donated, while others were handmade and personally delivered.

The Niagara Power collegiate baseball team entertained kids, families and fans at Sal Maglie Stadium from 2007 to 2015. After two whole summers removed from the New York Collegiate Baseball League, the Power have come back home to Niagara Falls. Internationally renowned percussionist Cyro Baptista collaborated with Buffalo-based sculptor Shasti O'Leary Soudant and students from the University at Buffalo to create a colorful, interactive work called "Beat Blossom." Both were on hand to officially debut the sound-generating instrument on Sunday at Artpark in Lewiston. A dedication ceremony and concert took place inside the Percussion Garden.

Chris Jacobs and Michael Ranzenhofer, AAA Western and Central New York, New York State Police and AT&T teamed up Thursday to raise awareness for AAA's "100 Deadliest Days" (the period between Memorial Day and Labor Day when teen crash fatalities historically climb 15 percent compared to the rest of the year), as well as AT&T's "It Can Wait" public education campaign and state distracted driving laws.
