Wheatfield residents see alternatives for river trail

Last Wednesday, Town of Wheatfield residents gathered to view five alternatives for the Niagara River multiuse trail that would extend from the City of North Tonawanda line to the City of Niagara Falls line along River Road.
Niagara-Wheatfield HS holds basketball game for Bald for Bucks

Tuesday night a couple thousand people gathered at the Niagara-Wheatfield gym for a basketball game between the Niagara-Wheatfield faculty and the Buffalo Sabres Alumni. The evening was more than a fun pickup game, though, as proceeds from the game benefitted the Bald for Bucks association in honor of the late James Campbell, who passed away in August due to cancer.
Five Star Urgent Care enters Niagara Falls market with new facility

Late last week, Five Star Urgent Care - one of upstate New York's fastest growing urgent care providers - opened its doors to Niagara County with the grand opening of its Niagara Falls facility. As of Thursday, the facility began accepting new walk-in patients for non-life-threatening ailments.
Town of Niagara Board presented plans for WNY First Response & Preparedness Center

On Tuesday evening, the Town of Niagara Town Board welcomed LaBella Associates and the Niagara County Center for Economic Development for a special Town Board meeting, in regard to the proposed Western New York First Response and Preparedness Center at the old U.S. Army Reserve Base off of Porter Road.
Champions: Niagara-Wheatfield hockey defeats Williamsville North to win Section VI finals

It's been four days shy of three years since the Niagara-Wheatfield Falcons hockey team raised their last Section VI championship. On Monday evening, the Falcons got back to the top, as they defeated unbeaten Williamsville North, 2-0, in the Section VI large schools title game.

With great sadness, Sheriff James R. Voutour announced Saturday the sudden passing of Niagara County Sheriff's Office canine EJ, handled by his partner Deputy Richard Bull. On Jan. 19, Bull, his handler, discovered EJ unresponsive inside his kennel.
Edward Town students in 'High School Musical Jr.'

Voz Cycle City holds toy fund for WNY Heroes

For years, Terry Vosburgh, CEO of Voz Cycle City, has been giving back to the local community with toy funds that help children and families have an enjoyable holiday season. Electric Lights Parade draws sizable crowd in year 13
