When Healing Earth CBD opened in the summer of 2021, public response "was very, very positive," co-owner Brandon Rush said. "You know, obviously there's a huge issue with education. A lot of people come in, and they don't know the difference between marijuana and hemp. They don't know what the difference between CBD and what THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is, or what it does to the body. So, we spend a lot of time educating customers. But I think, overall, it's been a very positive customer experience. I mean, we've done very well; we're obviously still in business."

Today's national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $3.66, down 11 cents from one week ago. One year ago, the price was $3.41. The New York state average is $3.85, down 5 cents since last Monday. A year ago, the NYS average was $3.57.

Higgins announces 'major win' for thousands of New York retired teamsters

Congressman Brian Higgins hailed action by the U.S. Pension Benefit Guaranty Corp. (PBGC) to approve $963.4 million in special financial assistance to the New York State Teamsters Conference Plan. The move will cover 33,643 New York Teamster workers, including approximately 5,000 in Western New York, who saw their pension benefits cut by up to 29% going back to 2017.

Empire State Development announced that Americarb Inc., a leading global producer of carbon and graphite advanced materials, plans to add 45 jobs and invest $6 million in its Niagara Falls plant.
