South Beach brought the heat as an average audience of 102.1 million tuned in for FOX Sports' ninth Super Bowl presentation as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers (31-20) in Super Bowl LIV at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium. The FOX broadcast network, including connected TV platforms, drew an average audience of 99.9 million viewership peaking at 103.5 million in the exciting conclusion to the NFL's 100th season.

Today's national average price for a gallon of gasoline is $2.47, down 5 cents since last week. One year ago, the price was $2.26. The New York state average is $2.66, down 3 cents from last week. A year ago, the state average was $2.49.
March of Dimes receives $200,000 grant from Health Foundation for Western & Central New York

March of Dimes, the leader in the fight for the health of all moms and babies, recently announced its latest collaboration with the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York aimed at reducing preterm births and improving maternal and infant health in Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Syracuse. The agency said premature birth is the largest contributor to infant death in the U.S., and pregnancy-related death has more than doubled over the past 25 years.

Lewiston No. 1, first-responders fight back multi-dwelling structure fire

At 10:33 p.m. Saturday, Lewiston Fire Co. No. 1 was dispatched to the Woods at Blairville apartment complex in the 800 block of Oriole Lane for a reported structure fire. Crews were faced with heavy fire in two apartments upon arrival and immediately deployed to begin knocking back the flames as additional crews entered to search for anyone still inside.
