CAN-USA Sports and the City of Niagara Falls have reached an agreement making CAN-USA managing partner of historic Sal Maglie Stadium. The three-year agreement is effective immediately and contains a five-year renewal option.

Lewiston Fire Co. No. 1 recently announced a new recruitment and retention initiative aimed to improve staffing. According to a fire company press release, this new category of membership allows for the recruitment of perspective members and retention of current members who are very busy or live out of Lewiston No. 1's service district.

Niagara County Community College (NCCC) has announced the launch of a national search for its eighth president, who will succeed Dr. William Murabito upon his retirement on June 30, 2024. The college's board of trustees has appointed Kevin Clark, chair of the NCCC board of trustees, to lead the search.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center has announced a "significant" donation from Scott Bieler, president and CEO of West Herr Auto Group, for the renovation of its auditorium into the Scott Bieler Family Foundation Innovation & Training Center. Work is set to begin in January, with completion expected by June.

The Niagara County Office for the Aging (OFA) announced it has launched a new pilot program, in conjunction with Sunrise Café in Gasport, to offer senior citizens an affordable, quality lunch. Seniors can purchase a reduced-price voucher for a full lunch, and OFA funds will cover the difference with the restaurant.

Stella Niagara Education Park, a coeducational elementary school in Lewiston, donated over 200 books valued at $1,933 to Damar Hamlin's Chasing M's Foundation. The school raised the money to purchase the books through a coin drive for Scholastic's "All for Books" program during the annual book fair.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $479 million in grants for critical water infrastructure projects, including the first funding awarded through the $4.2 billion Clean Water, Clean Air, and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act of 2022, which was passed by voters after Hochul pushed to increase the total amount by $1 billion upon taking office.
