The Buffalo Zoo will host the inaugural BuffaLoveFest this Friday. The event is new this year, and will feature the very best of Buffalo, including more than 50 Buffalo-centric artisan vendors, craft beer tastings from local microbreweries, food trucks, a Buffalo trivia tournament, a local celebrity dunk tank, and live music from some of the area's most popular bands.

The evening will kick off with a special first-time performance by the BuffaLoveBirds all-star band featuring Lance Diamond, Ali Critelli, Eric Crittenden, Vinnie DeRosa, Mike Wagner and Rob Lynch.

Luna the polar bear cub will also make an appearance at the event. The Buffalo Zoo has already sold more than 1,200 tickets and that number is expected to grow.

BuffaLoveFest will take place from 5:30 until 9:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Ave. The event is limited to ages 21 and up. Tickets include two drinks and will be available for $20 until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 30. Tickets will be available at the door for $30. Only cash and personal checks will be accepted at the door during the event. To purchase tickets, call 716-995-6131 or order online at www.buffalozoo.org.

BuffaLoveFest is presented by Mutual of Omaha's Western New York division, in partnership with B Incorporated Inc. and The Good Neighborhood.
