Niagara University's Office of Continuing Education, in collaboration with Sodexo food services, is presenting a sushi-cooking demonstration on Friday, March 22, with renowned executive chef Billy O'Donnell.

The event takes place from 5-7 p.m. in the Heritage Room of Clet Dining Hall on the Niagara University campus. A $39 fee includes the demonstration of how to cook three kinds of sushi (maki, te maki and nigiri), as well as a take-home sushi kit with ingredients for making six sushi rolls.

O'Donnell, who has cooked for Bill and Hillary Clinton, Jay Leno and Yoko Ono, among other celebrities, placed first in two major cooking competitions and won the most recent Sodexo Asian cookbook contest with a recipe that he'll share with the class.

This is a cooking demonstration program and lecture and is not hands-on.

Included in the sushi kits are six nori sheets, 1-1/2 cups of rice, a sushi roller, wasabi powder, fortune cookies, chopsticks and a recipe.

To register, call Niagara University's Office of Continuing Education at 716-286-8181. A full listing of Niagara University's continuing education courses can also be found online at http://www.niagara.edu/ce.
