Perry’s Ice Cream Company Inc., a Great Lakes regional brand and upstate New York’s No. 1 ice cream, introduces six new ice cream flavors in time for summer. Included in the 2024 lineup are three new retail flavors and three new three-gallon flavors for scoop shop and restaurant customers. The latest introductions will debut this month and are available for purchase online across the continental U.S.

Perry’s new flavors were developed to meet the trend in nostalgia as consumers seek products that remind them of the past and provide comfort, while offering a modern interpretation.

“Perry’s is well-known for our unique flavors! With consumers feeling nostalgic and reminiscent, we focused our flavor development on classic flavors that offer a twist of something new while invoking joyful memories,” said Megan Mergler, associate product manager at Perry’s.

In this year’s lineup, Cookie Jar offers a decadent twist on a homemade chocolate chip cookie by adding baked cookie chunks to indulgent sea salt caramel ice cream. Caramel Panda Paws expands up on the popular Panda Paws franchise that consumers know and love by introducing sea salt caramel to the original, chocolate and cherry line. Fans of this Perry’s classic are sure to scoop up this new version! The newest extra-indulgent ice cream pint flavor from Perry’s, Over the Moon, brings together a unique combination of toffee, crushed cookies, and sponge candy, while providing the delightful texture consumers crave in ice cream.

New retail flavors for spring 2024 include:

•Premium ice cream family size, 1.5 QTS

Caramel Panda Paws: Sea salt caramel ice cream with caramel panda paw cups and swirls of thick, rich fudge

Cookie Jar: Sea salt caramel ice cream with chocolate chip cookie chunks

•Extra-indulgent ice cream pint size, 16 oz.

Over the Moon: Toffee ice cream with crushed cookie swirls and sponge candy pieces

Nostalgic flavor innovation continues with the introduction of three new three-gallon tub flavors: Bee Sting, Cookie Jar and Fruit Scoops. Bee Sting offers a twist to graham cracker and vanilla pudding flavors by adding a “sting” with a hot honey swirl. Hot honey grew 187% on the U.S menus last year and continues to be trending with consumers putting it on everything from chicken to ice cream (per QSR Menu Innovations). Inspired by cereals from childhood, Fruit Scoops is reminiscent of the delicious fruity milk at the end of the cereal bowl.

New flavors for scoop shops and restaurants this spring include:

•Premium ice cream three-gallon tubs

Bee Sting: Vanilla pudding ice cream with graham cracker and hot honey swirls

Cookie Jar: Sea salt caramel ice cream with chocolate chip cookie chunks

Fruit Scoops: Fruity cereal ice cream with fruity cereal swirls

Perry’s continues its tradition of using its signature, slow-cooked, one-batch at a time technique, while staying relevant to today’s changing consumer requests. All Perry’s milk and cream is rBST free. According to the FDA, no significant difference has been found between milk derived from rBST-treated and non-rBST-treated cows.

The flavors will be arriving on shelves at retailers across New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Washington (D.C.), Maryland, Virginia and North Carolina, including Dash’s Market, Giant Eagle, Shurfine, Tops Friendly Markets and Wegmans Food Markets.
