The Lewiston Garden Club’s annual Lewiston GardenFest marked 20 years on Saturday and Sunday, with beautiful weather and large crowds along Center Street. Featured was approximately 100 vendors selling flowers, plants and garden essentials, along with open gardens, speakers and a container garden contest.
Proceeds from GardenFest are planted back into the community. The Lewiston Garden Club purchases and pots greenery and related amenities throughout the village each year.

Lewiston GardenFest 2026 Chairperson Mary Ann Yates said, “Last weekend marked another beautiful and successful Lewiston GardenFest!
“This all-volunteer, hands-on effort wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of the event committee, the generosity of our local business sponsors and, of course, you – who attended and supported the more than 100 vendors by picking out flowers, plants and more for your own green spaces.
“The hard work and dedication of the local homeowners who opened their gardens to visitors showed through with a kaleidoscope of colors and plantings surely to bring future inspiration. There was truly something for everyone at the 20th Lewiston GardenFest.
“The original idea behind the festival was to showcase our beautiful, historic village, while also raising funds for Lewiston Garden Club beautification efforts and local youth scholarships. For decades, the club has taken care of the flowers and gardens at the Lewiston Public Library and Lewiston Museum, among others.
“For the past 20 years, thanks to your support of Lewiston GardenFest, Lewiston Garden Club has been able to put festival proceeds back into local beautification efforts. Over the years, these projects have included financing new plantings, purchasing benches and garden art, new planters and raised beds on Center Street, and funding improvements at Hennepin Park, Seneca Park, Lewiston Landing and the Lewiston Museum.
“We’ve also been able to award up to two scholarships per year to graduating high school seniors who have provided service to their community and plan to pursue further education in a field related to the environment.
“Thank you for joining us to celebrate 20 years of Lewiston GardenFest and helping the Lewiston Garden Club give back as we look forward to the 100th anniversary of the Lewiston Garden Club in 2027.”
