"Paper Gods" - the new album from multiplatinum superstars Duran Duran - has bowed at No. 10 on Billboard's Top 200 Album chart, with 25,000 units (24,000 in pure album sales). This is the British band's highest-charting album in 22 years - since its second self-titled album debuted at No. 7 in 1993.

The KeyBank Foundation announced it has donated 180 copies of the anti-bullying-themed children's book "Thank You Mr. Falker" to the nonprofit organization The Teacher's Desk in Buffalo. A copy of the book will be given to every WNY school served by The Teacher's Desk.

The Buffalo Sabres today announced the broadcast schedule for the team's 2015 preseason games. All seven preseason games will be broadcast live on WGR 550, and the Oct. 2 game against the Columbus Blue Jackets broadcast live on television on MSG.

Congressman Brian Higgins has announced Buffalo biopharmaceutical company Cleveland BioLabs Inc. has been awarded a grant of up to $6.6 million from the Department of Defense. This award will fund a clinical study designed to support a biologics license application for entolimodas, a medical radiation countermeasure.
