The Buffalo Sabres have announced that seven Sabres games during the 2012-13 regular season will be broadcast nationally on NBC and NBC Sports Network. MSG, the Sabres' local TV rights-holder, will air the remaining 41 games of the 48-game season. All 48 Sabres games in 2012-13 will be available in high-definition.

Artist-in-residence/recruiter Adriano Gatto will direct this absurdly comic play about the relationship between art and science, talent and genius. This production will be performed at the Castellani Art Museum amidst a specially curated art exhibit.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed into law Tuesday the NY SAFE Act (Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act), which will give New York state the toughest gun laws in the nation. The legislation includes provisions to keep guns out of the hands of convicted felons and potentially dangerous mental health patients, and ban high capacity magazines and assault weapons.

Under the legislation, New York will be the first state in the nation to ban any magazine that can hold more than seven rounds and run instant background checks on all ammunition purchases at the time of sale.

Mount St. Mary's Hospital has acknowledged that both its neighborhood health center and on-campus primary care medical services have earned the prestigious designation as Patient-Centered Medical Homes by the National Committee on Quality Assurance. NBC Sports Group will air 70 NHL regular-season games across NBC and NBC Sports Network this season. The schedule includes 14 exclusive windows (15 games) on NBC, the most regular-season windows ever for the network, as well as 24 exclusive windows and 26 exclusive games on NBC Sports Network.
Sabres sell more than 30,000 tickets Sunday

The Buffalo Sabres have announced that 31,213 tickets for the 2012-13 season were sold on Sunday during a 24-hour presale period for current season-ticket holders and current mini-pack holders. The mark set a record for single-day ticket sales for the club - excluding the 2008 Winter Classic - with the general on-sale for individual game tickets to begin on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
