City of North Tonawanda Mayor Robert G. Ortt will deliver the State of the City address on Wednesday, Jan 30, at Remington Tavern and Seafood Exchange, 184 Sweeney St., North Tonawanda.
The State of the City presentation is open to the public, and will be delivered at 1 p.m. The address will immediately follow a luncheon, which begins at noon by the Rotary Club of the Tonawandas. The cost of the luncheon is $15 per person. RSVP no later than Jan. 25.
The address will focus on the progress made with regard to improving the city's financial outlook, as well as progress made on several economic development and capital projects throughout the city. The mayor will also talk about new initiatives such as an improved recycling program, and new legislation aimed at improving some of the city's housing stock and curbing nuisance properties.
