Oh, it's true: The Rolling Stones return to Buffalo

Today the Rolling Stones announced their critically acclaimed "No Filter" Tour will return to North America for a 15-city run in 2020 and will make a stop in Orchard Park on June 6 at New Era Field. The new dates follow the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band's record-breaking, sold-out performances of 2019, heralded by Rolling Stone as "A triumph for the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band."
Quitline: Be kind to your heart in February - delay or completely stop smoking or vaping during American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month, and the New York State Smokers' Quitline recommends all tobacco and vape users to be kind to their heart. This means working to delay smoking or vaping, and eventually becoming tobacco-free. Coaches at the Quitline can help all ages with treating nicotine dependence, seven days a week, for no charge.

"The Oscars Red Carpet Show," the official pre-show for Hollywood's biggest night, will give viewers live access to the night's nominees, performers and presenters beginning at 6:30 p.m. EST on ABC. The red carpet festivities will be hosted by actor and singer Billy Porter, award-winning journalist and talk show host Tamron Hall, supermodel Lily Aldridge and film critic Elvis Mitchell.
Matt Maher announces release of new album, 'Alive & Breathing'

It was last fall when multi-award-winning singer, songwriter, and touring artist Matt Maher debuted "Alive & Breathing Vol. 1," his three-song project that became the first of four music bundles and released consecutively through the fall and winter. Today, Maher announces all four of the volumes will be made into one album, aptly titled "Alive & Breathing," and will also include two additional songs. "Alive & Breathing" will be available on March 6 (Provident Label Group).
Planning Committee: Lake Ontario water levels already higher than at same point last year

Niagara County Emergency Services Director Jonathan Schultz told the Lake Ontario Planning Committee that current Lake Ontario water levels are already higher than at a similar period a year ago. Schultz said the current water level is 246.59 feet, about 9 inches above where they were on this date one year ago.

DEC: Oneida Lake adult walleye population hits 1 million fish

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos announced anglers have at least 1 million reasons to fish for walleye in Oneida Lake, according to a study with Cornell University researchers who have been tracking the lake's walleye population for more than 60 years. The population of adult walleye was estimated to be 1 million fish in 2019, a level that has not been reached since the 1980s.
'The Art of Suffrage' exhibit coming to Kenan Center

"The Art of Suffrage" exhibit will be on display at the Kenan Center in Lockport from Feb. 9 to March 29.
