Brighton Collectibles donates to Mount St. Mary's

The Youngstown Post Office is still open for business at its present location at 135 Lockport St. A few months ago, the Youngstown Post Office consolidated its carriers into the Lewiston Post Office. But retail services, such as Post Office boxes, stamps, package services and other postal products, are still available at the Youngstown Post Office.

Ceretto passes 'three strikes' bill for cruel pet dealers

Assemblyman John Ceretto, R-I-Lewiston, this week helped pass legislation to penalize commercial pet dealers who failed three consecutive inspections or three state inspections over a three-year period. Ceretto noted that the bill is intended to improve the health of animals sold at pet stores and to ensure that unscrupulous pet dealers have their licenses revoked.

Today, State Sen. George D. Maziarz and assemblymen John D. Ceretto and Dennis H. Gabryszak praised the Canadian Niagara Parks Commission for its decision to grant permission to Nik Wallenda to traverse the Niagara Gorge on a high wire. The parties will now enter into negotiations to address safety measures, financial issues and logistics of the walk.

Today's approval by the NPC sets the stage for an event that is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to the region in 2012.
