The Lewiston Dance Center's competition/performance team, the Lewiston Dance Ensemble, had its final performance of the season last Thursday night, Feb. 9, at the Niagara University men's basketball game. The dance ensemble entertained the crowd at halftime.
Rachel Novelli, director of Lewiston/GI Dance Centers reports the student-run ensemble had a busy performance season, including the Fireman's Fund Telethon, the Village of Lewiston Christmas tree lighting, a performance at the Holiday Market in Niagara Falls and two performances for the crowds at Niagara University.
Upcoming for the busy dance team, members will be learning new choreography for the Lewiston Dance Center and Grand Island Dance Center recitals, both to be held on May 12. The dancers also will be preparing for the summer dance competition season.
The Lewiston Dance Center and the Lewiston Dance Ensemble will hold a bazaar/bake sale/basket raffle to fundraise for the students of the studio and the dance team.
"We are looking for vendors to rent tables. If you are interested, please call 773-1075 for more info," says Novelli.
