Free events in honor of the store's recent conversion to Rite Aid's latest "Wellness Store" layout

WHAT: In order to showcase the newly remodeled "Wellness Stores," which feature expanded pharmacy services and an enhanced selection of wellness products, the Rite Aid store listed below will offer free health screenings, beauty demonstrations and product samples this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Visitors can get free screenings for cholesterol, blood glucose, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and memory impairment, plus additional screenings that vary by location. The event also offers free body mass index (BMI) readings, blood pressure readings and diabetes risk assessments. Beauty experts will be on hand to demonstrate cosmetic and nail makeovers. Visitors can sample organic, gluten-free or natural food products and pick up other product samples and coupons. Rite Aid "Wellness Ambassadors" will also be on hand to provide interactive product demos on iPads. As a regular addition to these and future Rite Aid "Wellness Stores," Wellness Ambassadors serve as a bridge between the front end of the store and the pharmacy, as well as a liaison to the community during health events such as this one.
