Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced a 19-year-old male from Newburg pleaded guilty yesterday morning before Amherst Town Court Justice Jeff Marion to one count of inciting to riot (class "A" misdemeanor). The defendant pleaded guilty to the highest sustainable charge.

Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced a jury found Nigel L. Flint, 29, of Amherst, guilty of one count of murder in the second degree (class "A-I" felony) and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree (class "C" violent felony). Jurors rendered their decision yesterday afternoon after approximately six hours of deliberation following a five-day trial, convicting the defendant of all counts in the indictment.

Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $80 million in new grant funding available to communities across New York for climate resiliency projects.
