Wegmans Pharmacy and the Erie County Department of Public Health are making it safer and easier for local residents to get their flu shots with two drive-thru community flu shot clinics this fall. During the events, participants may remain in their cars while a Wegmans pharmacist, wearing additional protective gear, administers the vaccination.

The Town of Grand Island has announced Traffic Safety Enforcement and Awareness Days for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9-10. The goal of this high-visibility, multi-agency enforcement and awareness program is to promote traffic safety by encouraging motor vehicle operators, bicyclists and pedestrians to become attentive to road safety.
