After Steve Jones announced that Francis and Astro received the fewest votes, judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Scherzinger listened to the two finalists perform their "song for survival" and then eliminated Francis.

The winter season is just around the corner, but the Seneca casinos are already "thinking spring" for entertainment. Blockbuster performances by Chicago, Regis Philbin, Loretta Lynn, The Moody Blues, Englebert Humperdinck and Travis Tritt are booked for March through June 2012.
Philbin, fresh off a break from "LlVE! with Regis and Kelly," resumes his other passion -- singing -- with a trip to Seneca Niagara Events Center on March 2 for an 8 p.m. show. Philbin will be accompanied by a 22-piece orchestra to perform standards such as "You Make Me Feel So Young" and "It Had to Be You." Tickets start at $40 and go on sale at noon on Monday, Dec. 5.

Prima Pizza and Pasta and Fantastic Sams have partnered with the March of Dimes, the leading organization for pregnancy and baby health, to support the first ever World Prematurity Day on Thursday, Nov. 17.

The annual opening ceremony for the Niagara Falls Holiday Lights Trail will be held in the parking lot at Sal Maglie Stadium on Wednesday, Nov. 23, with entertainment starting at 5 p.m., the official ceremony at 6 p.m., and fireworks at 6:15 p.m.
