'Everything NT Festival': From videos to festivals, all about NT

The "Everything NT Festival" is in its second year to celebrate North Tonawanda in a special event. While the event lasts only three hours, it's packed full of good drinks, good food, an open bar, local vendors, and a basket raffle to benefit the Niagara SPCA.
Culinary arts students at Niagara Hospice's 'Day of Remembrance'

Culinary arts students at the Niagara Career and Technical Education Center recently lent a helping hand to Niagara Hospice. Teacher Bob Ihle and his students made and donated cookies to the Hospice House in Lockport for its "Day of Remembrance Celebration."

Out of Darkness works to end stigma, encourage communication

The Out of Darkness Walk in Lockport will start with registration at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. Walkers start at 1:30 p.m. and will journey one of two paths: one path on the south side following the Erie Canal for one mile and back, and the other on the north side following the canal for two miles and back. Participants will meet at the Lockport Locks Pavilion.
Sharks & rays coming to Aquarium of Niagara

The Aquarium of Niagara has been ramping up its own piece of property to properly serve both locals and visitors alike. For the past few years, the aquarium has made big changes such as "Penguin Coast" in 2018 and "Aliens of the Sea" in 2019. On Sept. 27, it announced even more construction to create a new - interactive - habitat for some of nature's misunderstood children in the sea. It's called the "M&T Bank Shark & Ray Bay"
Classes offered at Kin Loch Farmstead

Kin Loch Farmstead is a sprawling, 37-acre plot on which Alex and Ryan Plante cultivated 2,000 lavender plants in 2018 and traded some growing space to Fran DePalma of Heirloom Soul Flowers. Since that time, the farm has outperformed expectations, receiving over 1,000 visitors during the summer who picked the freshly blooming lavender plants, take classes and experience country life.

Niagara SPCA to link business heads with big hearts

The Niagara SPCA has a new program aimed at emptying its facilities. It seeks help from the community. Understandably, a lot of people can't help by adopting an animal, but the SPCA is hoping that community businesses and individuals would like to be the second best thing: the force behind finding each of these pets a home. It's called "Sponsor a Cage."
