Northwest Bank assisting History Center to promote children's programs

This summer, Northwest Bank is assisting the History Center in promoting its children's programs. As an incentive for parents to enroll their children, Northwest Bank is sponsoring special sign-up times that include a goodie bag for each child registered and paid for that during the promotion. Payment can be made with a History Center representative at the bank by cash or check during the designated times.
2021-22 New York state hunting and trapping licenses on sale

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos recently announced hunting and trapping licenses and deer management permits (DMPs) for the 2021-22 seasons are on sale. In addition, DEC announced new opportunities for hunters this year, including expanded hunting seasons and allowing youth ages 12 and 13 to hunt deer with a firearm or crossbow in upstate counties that have passed a local low and "opted in" to participate.

A press release stated, "These transformative grants are part of KeyBank's $40 billion National Community Benefits Plan and is symbolic of both organizations' commitment to empowering individuals and neighborhoods through investment in programs that provide long term enhancement to the quality of life."

Niagara County announces youth employment grant

The Niagara County Workforce Development Board (NCWDB) on Tuesday announced it was awarded a $250,000 grant through Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Gun Violence Prevention Initiative to focus on providing permanent jobs to Niagara Falls youth ages 18-24. Niagara Falls is one of 20 cities receiving these funds in partnership with the New York State Department of Labor.
