Niagara's Splash World opening Saturday

Niagara's Splash World Water Park announced its operating hours for May and June, including Memorial Day weekend. Splash World attractions debut Saturday, May 27, will be open from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sundays, with daily operations scheduled to begin Friday, June 24.
NYPA board approves $500,000 in funding for Discover Niagara Shuttle service

On Wednesday, New York's Army National Guard used a CH-47F Chinook heavy lift helicopter to remove a pontoon from a portion of the New York Power Authority's "ice boom" at Niagara Falls. The New York State Park Police teamed with U.S. Army aviators from the New York Army National Guard's Detachment 1, Company "B" 3rd Battalion on the operation, which began Tuesday morning with scoping.
