USA Niagara Development Corp. (USAN) board of directors met Wednesday and unanimously approved the acquisition of 32 individual properties totaling approximately 11 acres of land in downtown Niagara Falls. The purchase of these properties is made possible through a strategic land acquisition program that is part of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's Buffalo Billion phase two.

McDonald's announced the company and its franchisees are investing approximately $320 million in New York throughout 2018 and 2019 on the construction and modernization of 360 McDonald's restaurants, transforming the customer experience inside and outside the restaurant. In total, McDonald's and franchisees are investing $6 billion to modernize most U.S. restaurants by 2020, including most restaurants in the Empire State.

In 2017, more than 10,600 megawatts (MW) of solar power were installed in the U.S. Solar Liberty, a Buffalo-based solar installer, has been recognized by Solar Power World magazine for its contributions to the industry: The company achieved a national ranking of 58 out of 450 solar companies on the magazine's 2018 Top Solar Contractors list. USA Niagara Development Corp. (USAN) on Monday issued a request for expressions of interest (RFEI) to determine interest from qualified parties to redevelop a key parcel in the Buffalo Avenue Heritage District of downtown Niagara Falls. USAN gained control of the vacant parcel, located at 305 Buffalo Ave., through a strategic land acquisition earlier this year, made possible through Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo's Buffalo Billion phase II.
