Area's largest locally owned real estate firm partnering with United Way chapters across New York to take part in 20 community service projects
On Thursday, July 12, HUNT Real Estate Corp. agents and employees will team up with United Way chapters in Erie and Niagara counties, and across New York state, to take part in HUNT's second annual "CommUNITY Day." More than 250 HUNT agents and employees will donate their time and effort by participating in 20 community service projects, which include serving meals at a homeless shelter, helping out at summer camps for kids, painting and landscaping at community centers, and holding donation drives for food, diapers and school supplies.
"We value our partnership with the United Way because of their deep-rooted commitment to improving our community and creating more opportunities for the people who live here," said Peter Hunt, chairman and CEO of HUNT Real Estate Corp. "Throughout upstate New York we publicly state, '#WeLiveHere' and we see no better way to show our support for our neighbors than to give back to the communities in which we live and work."
For over 20 years, the Buffalo-based real estate firm has been one of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County's largest charitable supporters. The company has expanded that relationship with the United Way by making HUNT "CommUNITY" Day an annual day of action for their agents and staff throughout the state.
"HUNT Real Estate is a valued partner of the United Way and their 'CommUNITY Day' is just another example of how the team at HUNT takes the extra step to make our community the best place to live," said Michael Weiner, president and CEO of the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County. "We look forward to working together on July 12, as well as on future community service projects. On behalf of the United Ways across the state, we thank everyone at HUNT for all their hard work and support."
