Kerstin Crum of Youngstown, a senior at Lewiston-Porter High School, is the recipient of the first Deal Realty Scholarship. Crum has been accepted into the State University of New York College at Brockport, where she plans to major in physical education.

Girl Scouts of Western New York recently announced North Tonawanda Girl Scout Siana Jacobs is a 2017 Gold Award recipient. The Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouts. Jacobs' earned the award for a project where she organized a clothing drive and created personal hygiene kits for people in Nicaragua.

The third spring season of the Girls on the Run program has begun on the Lewiston-Porter campus. Seventeen girls from the Primary and Intermediate education centers will participate in the 2017 season, which began Monday, March 21, and runs through Sunday, June 4.
